Wanxue Zhang is a classically trained soprano and pianist with an active performance career spanning Illinois, Connecticut, and Xi’an, China. She has sung with ensembles including CONCORA, the Yale Camerata, the Yale Repertory Chorus, and the Chancel Choir at South Church in New Britain, and now performs with NaperVoice and the Schola Cantorum at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago. She also serves as piano accompanist for the Pro Musica Youth Chorus. Zhang earned her Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance from the Hartt School, University of Hartford, and earlier received Master of Music and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music Education from the Xi’an Conservatory of Music.
