Born in Chicago and raised in Oregon, music has been the center of Colton’s life for as long as he can remember. His journey began with family sing-alongs in Illinois, where he first experienced the power of community through song. By his early teens, he had picked up the drums and piano, eventually forming a band that toured the West Coast.

Colton formally trained at Berklee College of Music in Boston, specializing in vocal performance, audio recording, and music production. Today, he continues to work as an active artist, mixing engineer and songwriter, having recently released his debut album and signed with a production label.

As an afterschool instructor, his goal is simple: to make music collaborative, inspiring, and accessible. Whether building foundational skills on an instrument or exploring how to create songs together, he brings real-world industry experience and a genuine love for community into every lesson.
