Born and raised in Venezuela, Valentina began her violin studies when she was 7 years old. Years later, she became part of “El Sistema”, a music education orchestra program in Venezuela.

In 2013, Valentina attended her first international summer program at the Meadowmount School of Music in upstate New York. Other summer festival experiences include Nuevo Mundo Festival and Bowdoin International Music Festival.

Valentina has found a passion for teaching since an early age. She has taught private and group lessons in “El Sistema”, has been an intern at the People’s Music School in Chicago and participated in the Pedagogy Program at Northwestern University.

Currently, Valentina is a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago for the 2021-2022 season and will be pursuing her post- master’s Certificate in Performance at DePaul University, studying with Ann Setzer.
