Chris Winters has led his own band and has also worked with many of the best Chicago-area blues artists during his career. Chris has toured the U.S. with soul great, Otis Clay. He recorded three albums with the band Mississippi Heat and toured with them throughout Europe and Canada.

His original instrumental slow blues entitled “Early Morning Blues, “ popular with live audiences, was released on Mississippi Heat’s “ Handyman “ special CD release edition. He also played the Chicago Blues Fest with Mississippi Heat, and with The Aaron Burton Blues Band. His steady gig with blues diva Liz Mandeville Greeson led to a recording with her on the Earwig record label. In 2004 Mr. Winters released “Impressions” on the Chicago “Blujazz” label. This was an instrumental album and more jazz oriented. The recording received quite a bit of airplay and garnered many favorable reviews.

Chris teaches children and adults, beginners to advanced. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of rock and roll, and different styles of blues electric guitar.
