Brian Gavilan is a saxophonist based in the Chicagoland area with 12 years of saxophone experience. He has performed throughout Chicago with various ensembles, been a member of multiple saxophone quartets, and performed abroad in France with the Ohio University’s Marching 110.

 

Since 2015, Brian has taught seasonally at Huntley High School as a staff member for the marching band. As part of the visual and saxophone team, he facilitates movement and visual rehearsals with the full band as well as oversees saxophone music sectionals, teaching music to a 7-12 member saxophone section.

 

Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago where he studied under Jose Riojas and Thomas Snydacker. He is currently studying in the Teacher Licensure for Post-Baccalaureate Students program at Northeastern Illinois University.
